the son, the husband and the father.

the son.

this is the first role that you learn.
responsibilities in the family, filial piety.
you watch and learn from your parents, how they treat their parents, and subconsciously make a mental note of how you should do the same for them in their later years.

the husband.

the second role that you learn.
how to treat your spouse right, taking care of her needs, understanding how she thinks and co-existing as a strong loving unit ready to face the future together, for better or worse.

the father.

the most significant role in your life.
a process that is ongoing for the rest of your life, that changes constantly and forces you to rethink your stance on how you want to help shape the future of your next generation.

the man.

put these three roles together and you create the man, who has to fulfill three roles simultaneously. there will be times where he is forced to make difficult decisions that seemingly conflicts one particular role for the sake of another, and there is no better time to have the full understanding of his family.
* and the story ends like this..
